The Silver Agent model

The Trademark Clearinghouse today has introduced the Silver Agent model in response to feedback from its user community. Smaller law firms, domain name registrars and other companies involved in IP protection who also wish to act on behalf of their clients when submitting their trademark records to the Clearinghouse, found the 15,000 prepayment amount too steep. The prepayment amount for Silver Agents is lowered to 5,000 USD but is non-refundable. Any part of this prepayment amount not spent is not refunded at the end of the contract. Gold Agents benefited from the Early Bird period and do get the remaining amount on their balance refunded when they terminate their contract. In addition, Gold Agents receive branded marketing material.
