Ongoing Notifications Service

After the initial 90-day Trademark Claims Period for each new generic top-level domain (gTLD), the Trademark Clearinghouse extends its protection through the Ongoing Notifications service. This service ensures that TMCH clients receive Ongoing notifications about potential intellectual property infringement beyond the initial 90 days of General Availability.

These new gTLDs, such as .LINK, .APP, .MUSIC, offer businesses diverse and industry-specific options to better reflect their identities and offerings, departing from the traditional .COM or .NET domains.

How it works?

Through the Ongoing Notifications Service, TMCH clients will continue to be informed via email whenever a domain name is activated in a new gTLD, matching the labels linked to their registered trademark in the TMCH. This reactive approach allows trademark owners to remain vigilant and swiftly address any potential misuse of their intellectual property.

Exact Match & Variation label(s)
