ICANN – SSAD Questionnaire

by | Jul 14, 2021 | News | 0 comments

Dear TMCH users,

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) organization (org) has developed a community questionnaire related to the proposed System for Standardized Access/Disclosure (SSAD), which is a new system proposed to centrally handle requests for nonpublic registration data. Nonpublic registration data has largely been made unavailable since May 2018 due to the implementation of global privacy laws.

The questionnaire, composed of eight questions, will be open until July 22nd, 2021. It will play a critical role in assessing the feasibility and associated risks, costs, and resources required in the potential implementation and operation of SSAD by helping to determine how many potential users may use the SSAD and the anticipated volume of requests if it is implemented.

The results of this questionnaire will be kept confidential and will only be used by the ICANN organization to assist in its internal assessment. For more information, please read the ICANN’s announcement.
