As a Trademark Agent, you play a crucial role to ensure the integrity and protection of brands worldwide. Whether you are a brand protection company, registrar, or (IP) law firm, becoming an Official Agent grants you exclusive privileges and opportunities to enhance your clients’ trademark management experience.

Steps to Register as an Official Agent

Step 1: Complete the Application

Fill out the Registration form on our secure website, selecting “Agent (Gold)” or “Agent (Silver) for your preferred account type.

Silver Agent Account

A Silver Agent Account is a type of Prepaid Account exclusively available to Trademark Agents. The minimum deposit required is 5,000 USD, which can be fully utilized for registering and renewing trademarks in TMCH. Please note that any remaining balance of the initial deposit will be non-refundable upon termination of your contract.

Gold Agent Account

Exclusively available to Trademark Agents, the Gold Agent Account offers additional flexibility. With a minimum deposit of 15,000 USD, you can efficiently manage trademark registrations and renewals within TMCH. Notably, any remaining funds from the initial deposit will be refundable upon termination of your contract.

Step 2: Verification Process

The Clearinghouse conducts checks to ensure compliance, including verification against the Specially Designated Nationals list (SDN list) and validation of VAT numbers where applicable.

Step 3: Confirmation and Credentials

Upon successful verification, you will receive a confirmation email containing your username and temporary password.

Step 4: Contract and Payment

Upon initial login, choose a new password and download your personalized Trademark Agent contract.

Sign and upload the contract and proceed to download the pro-forma invoice for the prepayment deposit. The deposit amount varies depending on the selected Agent Type (Gold or Silver) and can be entirely used for purchasing TMCH services.

Please note: This deposit is not a subscription fee; rather, it serves as a prepayment. In the event of contract termination, Gold Agents can request a reimbursement of any remaining balance.

Step 5: Commence Operations

Once we receive your signed contract and prepayment deposit, you’re ready to start submitting trademark records on behalf of your clients.
