We are delighted to inform you that, starting now, trademark registrations submitted to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) that are over 5 years old will no longer require a valid underlying basic registration for acceptance in the Trademark Clearinghouse.
However, in accordance with WIPO guidelines, WIPO trademark registrations that have not yet reached 5 years will still require a valid underlying basic registration for acceptance in the Trademark Clearinghouse.
